Director David Fincher has been working on a cinema adaptation of the 1922 short story "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett are the ideal cast for this beautiful movie.

A second trailer has been unveiled for Benjamin Button, here it is:

By now I'm pretty sure that the movie centers more on love than on the curious case of Benjamin Button: the real story obviously revolves around the growing love between Cate Blanchett and Brad Pitt! Great!

Curious Case of Benjamin Button in 2008

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button by David Fincher is a movie adaptation of the 1922 short story "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" written by American author F. Scott Fitzgerald. The film is starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett.
Benjamin Button is set for a release in November 2008.

The plot:
"In the early 20th century, a 80-year-old man (Brad Pitt) is born aging backwards, causing complications when he falls in love with a 30 year old woman (Cate Blanchett). Fincher said, 'It's dark, it's romantic, and it also deals with mortality in a pretty unflattering way. The guy is born in 1919 - with the film itself beginning in world war I, travelling around the world and carrying on all the way through to the year 2000.'" (Source: Wikipedia)

Searching for more information about the Curious Case of Benjamin Button I found those two really interesting magazine scans. Though I can't determine where they come from I'm sure they're authentic :

That's a really strange movie! I'm surprised that Brad Pitt is in it. If he made this bet we can be but sure that the movie is great!
